I didn't quite realize it at the time, but this is where my love of research began. My memories of poring through the UW's world class libraries still come to mind as I talk to students about the research process.

My successes (and failures) in my undergraduate years have also stuck with me and still give me insight into students' experience and inform how I approach teaching.

Master's of Library and Information Science

Yes, studying in Honolulu is as amazing as it sounds. Naturally, the tropical setting comes to mind, but it was much, much more than that. What I value most from my time going to school, and later working, in Hawaii is an enduring appreciation of place. Not just geography, but history, culture, and how these things impact the day-to-day lives of the people who live there.
